Are The Wild Teacher Protests In Wisconsin A Prelude To The Economic Riots That Are Coming To America?

Wisconsin Teacher Protest by CindyH Photography
Have you seen video of the teacher protests that are going on in Wisconsin? We haven't seen anything like this in America in quite some time.  If you haven't seen video of the protests yet, some very good raw footage is posted below.  On the one hand it is good to see Americans coming together and standing up for what they believe in, but on the other hand what these teachers are freaking out about shows just how much America has changed.

The Decline: The Geography of a Recession ** Video

U.S. unemployment rate history

Here is a video that many of you might have already seen before, but I will go ahead and post it for those who have not. What this video shows is the month by month rise/spread of unemployment in this country from January 2007 thru January 2011.

We hear the unemployment numbers almost daily but the reality of it really hits home once you watch this short  41 second clip. You see how unemployment has spread like a cancer throughout our country. As sad is this is to watch it is even worse knowing that the data used in the video is only the "official" unemployment numbers and as we all know, the real unemployment rate is much higher.

Is the world approaching a devastating global economic meltdown?  Right now there are a large number of factors that are creating economic stress points all over the globe.

Stimulus a Failure By The Only Measure That Matters: Jobs

By Dan Gainor

Politicians will promise just about anything to get elected. They might offer a chicken in every pot or even vow to end wars in places like Iraq or Afghanistan. That's just marketing. But once they get elected, we expect them to be honest.

Or at least we used to. Not any longer. Not since the $787 billion stimulus bill passed in 2010. Now, two years after it was signed into law on Feb. 17, it's easy to see why we've given up on political honesty. As Rep. Joe Wilson said to President Obama: "You lie."

He wasn't kidding.

Moral Ambiguity

by Oliver North

For days after protests started in Cairo, the Obama administration struggled to find its voice about the "revolution" in Egypt. When the O-Team eventually decided Hosni Mubarak had to go, the White House and the State Department began chattering about a "democratic outcome." In the end, they settled for a military coup while proclaiming a "victory for the people." Now, with violent anti-government protests in the streets of Libya, Bahrain, Yemen and Iran, President Barack Obama's moral ambiguity is increasingly evident -- and dangerous.

The Death Of The Dollar Is Coming

by The Warning Signs

When the Federal Reserve announced their plan to start a course of quantitative easing back in November 2008 it essentially signed the death warrant for the US dollar. Many top economists immediately denounced this course of action by Ben Bernake and have spent the last two years showing us why the Feds monetary policy is a recipe for disaster.

World On Fire - Mapping Last Week's 88 Global Protests

from ZeroHedge.com

Feeling like the entire world is on the verge of a global revolution? It's understandable. According to the attached interactive map, based on Google News data, in the past week, there have been 88 reported instances of protest somewhere in the world. How much of this is due to snow, and how much is due to Bernanke's increasingly more genocidal policies (has anyone done a tally of how many people have died in various riots, protests and revolutions since the beginning of the year - perhaps it is time) is unknown and irrelevant.

Austerity Measures Not So Welcome In America

by The Warning Signs

Over the course of the last year America has watched from afar as countries such as Greece, Spain, Italy and Ireland implimented austerity measures upon their citizens in an attempt to reign in soverign debt. We watched events unfold in those countries on CNN and YouTube, but that was as close to the action as we ever thought we would get.

A Glimpse Of Who You Will Be Facing After An Economic Collapse** Video

What will happen when food disruptions occur, the currency collapses or social chaos breaks out in U.S. cities? This video answers that question by revealing how everyday people can transform into crazed animals who trample other human beings in order to get what they want. Many of us have witnessed this behaviour play out during the infamous annual  "Black Friday" shopping event. We also got a taste of this behaviour during the 1992 riot in Los Angeles as well as the more recent Hurricane Katrina disaster. Here are two videos that offer an example of what you would be facing in the event of an economic collapse. These shocking videos reveals a part of human nature that society tries to keep caged.

Those who keep up with business news will have no doubt read about the recent developments in the category of minerals known as rare earth elements (REE’s). These are minerals that are vital to modern industrial applications, ranging from lasers, batteries, alternative energy, and superconductors to all sorts of important high-tech applications. There are 17 minerals classified as REE’s with exotic names like scandium, yttrium, lanthanum, cerium, and praseodymium. Don’t worry, this is not a technical discussion and this will probably be the only time I write about rare earth elements.
